Hi all. i am kinda new to all this stuff so bear with me. I just got a wireless router for my home, very cool. I have a D-Link router and a USB antenna for the extra desktop. I have a laptop with built in wireless stuff. My question, the D Link router came with a program called Network Magic. Really basic but neat program. The one thing I like is the file sharing it lets me do from lartop to main desktop. Problem is they want me to buy it, year after year. I would buy it once , but every year? hell with that. Is there a freware program out there that does the same thing? Thanks, Kurt
Windoes has a file sharing options arleady installed in the software. It is in Start>Control Panel>Network and Internet Connections>Wireless Network Setup Wizard (at the very bottom) It has instructions as you are setting up and help files. That is how i did mine.
