Hello. I was wondering if there was anyway to improve stability for wireless networks. I've noticed that every so often my connection would drop, either causing aim to reconnect or when playing on xbconnect it would drop the connection and have to reconnect after so long. I have a netgear mr814v2 router with a netgear wireless usb adapter. Also, for my internet, i have it set up to usb on this comp and then i have it sending out connection on my network card through a crossover cable. So can i improve the connection still having it wireless so it doesnt drop? Thanks! the usb adapter is a MA111v2
are you saying you have both a usb cable & net cable comming from the router to your computer & if yes, why??
ok this is how i have it set up.... my dsl modem-my wireless router- wireless router-wireless connection wireless router-ethernet to one comp wireless router-ethernet to antoher comp three connections total. For wireless connection i have a usb adapter for the connection to my comp. Then i have a network card that i output the connection to my xbox or whatnot. It drops connection for my wireless connection and therefore it reconnects every so often.
what do you mean by the frequency? the transfer rate like 11 mbps? or what? And where would this be located.
and then that should work? Cause i know i can change the channels, so i will see what i can do and report back. Thanks!
