Does anyone know how to get a wma file from a cd onto a mp3 player? I burned a store bought cd to my hard drive, but the mp3 player does not play it even though it says it will. Thanks, Tony
your best option is to re-rip your CDs to mp3. anytime you convert a lossy format to another lossy format (wma to mp3) there is severe quality loss. I know its a pain in the ass, but trust me, you're much better off starting over with your original CDs. the best (and free) ripper is called EAC (exact audio copy). When used with the LAME mp3 encoder at VBR (variable bitrate) settings, you will create very good quality mp3s. we have a guide on how to setup and use EAC and LAME here: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm
