WMP 11 Install Problem

    Hi Friends! Each time I try to upgrade windows media player to 11, my computer verifies my copy of windows is legit, which it is, then it says unsupported OS your computer must be running windows xp media edition 2005 or later. Which I'm sure I am. If not, is there any way sort this out? My comp info is.....

    OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional
    Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600

    When I installed WMP 11 I also had problems. What I had to do was get a update for Media Center before I could install WMP 11. It's called Media Center rollup 2.
