When WMP11 loads subtitles (srt file) the picture quality deteriorates significantly and become quite fuzzy. When I use media player classic it plays great, picture is very smooth and subs show perfectly but I have no control over contrast and other controls available with WMP 11. Any idea why the picture is going bad with WMP 11? Can I have controls (contrast, lights, etc) with WMP classic?
This assumes you have FFDSHOW installed and MPC is optioned to use it. Clicking on 'Play' > 'Filters' and selecting the video decoder, gets the FFDSHOW pane. Check 'Picture Properties' and adjust as required. If FFDSHOW is being used, then it should also appear in the Taskbar. Simply clicking on the logo will bring up the same screen
