WMV to DiVX

I have a ton of WMV files that I'd like to convert to DiVX, but I can't seem to find a good tool to do this in batch formats.Can someone recommend application that will perform this for me?

Eventually what I would like to do is copy the DiVX files to CDR, and watch them on a portable DVD player with DiVX support. This way I don't need to burn a ton of DVDs. Is this a good idea?

It can convert WMV files to Divx even if you don't install divx codec.
