I think I have Intervideo WINDVD 4 installed in my computer but when I try to play the dvd it is as if there is no dvd at all. I do not know what to do, I tried downloading a new dvd player but it says that there is a disc whit unsupported format. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, Are you trying to play a factory DVD or a burned DVD? It may help to install/update your ASPI layer. Here's a link: http://forceaspi18.w.interia.pl/
Hey, I am trying to play factory dvd's but the computer does not recognize them. It's as if they were not inside the computer. I don't know what to do, I tried downloading and installing the aspi layer files but it still does not play it, or at least recognize it. When I open windows explorer and click on the d drive, it appears to be empty, but there's a factory dvd inside. Maybe I need to download new drivers but I can't find a webpage that allows me to download them for free, they expect me to pay like 30 bucks to download a whole program that was already installed in my computer when I bought it. Any ideas?
What make/model drive is it? How old is it? You can use Nero Info Tool to find out what drive you have: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/nero_info_tool.cfm
