my system i about two years old. from time to time it would refuse to read DVD-Rs. this issue was resolved by unplugging the unit and letting it sit for a minute or so. now it refuses to read DVD-Rs and continues not to read them after disconnecting the power. is there any way to resolve this issue? many dvd players do not support dvd-r, some that do still fail, and retry until they can read it, +r is much more commonly supported,you can try to get a new firmware for the drive, thats free and could solve your problem
