my friend just loaned me his vista ultimate cd and i'm worried about installing it, i'm gonna put it on my old compaq windows xp but i'm worried if i still will have to reinstall the drives and will sound still work, cuz i've heard a lot but i'm not sure, all i wanna do is upgrade to vista ultimate -please tell if i have to reinstall any drives or anything if i'm just upgrading
If your friend has installed it on his computer and registered it. His serial number won't work on your computer. It'll install on your computer but when you try to register it, it'll give you problems. If your computer isn't fairly new, it might not be able to work with vista. A lot of people recommend to just stay with xp.
palak, Stay out of Vista if you want to be safe and sound. You will definitely regret if you dont listen.. I learnt from experiences. There arent any drivers supporting Vista right now.
On old computer? Not even worth considering... Windows Vista is a barrel of monkeys, seriously don't bother with it, stick to XP, especially if that's your only computer.
i found a crack that registers it automatically and i do have a computer that is a 07 model, but the compaq i want to install it on is a compaq 5000 from 2000 that is just boring right now
From 2000? I would strongly insist that you don't. In fact I'll be surprised if Vista even installs on that thing. If you really want to install it on your newer computer.
