I have been looking but i cannot find what i need. I have 5 dvds with worship songs that we use at church the problem is i can only use one at a time. Is there a way to put them on my hard drive with the subtitles fixed to the song. So i can cue up songs on more than 1 dvd The dvd are iworship they are vob files on the dvd thanks for helping
when you say que up more than one song how many? you saying you want 5 dvds on 1 dvd? if so how big is 1 dvd of worship?
ok, i dont think the good lord would use copy protection so get the free software called dvd shrink, dvd shrink is like when jesus christ took a loaf of bread he made the bread bigger, well dvd shrink is our god on AD, it does the opposite and makes it smaller, for your purposes you only need to rip the dvd to hard drive, now do this for each dvd into separate folders, named like 1,2,3,4,5 then when useing a player software like windows media player, these apps can create play lists (sort an order to your preference) ok, that said this is to que 5 dvd in a set order... i'm sort of guessing you may have say 10 songs on 1 dvd, ok dvd shrink can cut/chop a dvd so with 10 songs to 1 dvd you need to create folders, DVD-1 folder and in dvd 1 create 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 so the play list knows say DVD-1/3 is first then DVD-1/7 is second, so on and so on........ as you rip each part from the dvd, hmmm long process but has great rewards... very much like faith. --------------------------- ok yes that can be done! but as to the subtitles being there after ripping a part of dvd im not sure, if hard coded in then you should be ok???
Yes the DVD shrink worked great and i can play them them with easy worship but the problem is trying to get the subtitles fixed to the video permanently. Thanks for your help so far it has been greatly appreciated...
yup, how did i know you were going to ask me that? lol ok im not sure how the makeup of a vob dvd file works subs, sorry. did you try turning the subs on via remote control for stand alone dvd player? EDIT - yes! subs are still in the vob file after cut separate parts from a dvd - use remote control to turn them on. ------------- how many songs in each dvd?
There are 14 to each dvd i can get them to play via my easyworship program but the subtitles are not there. If i use the dvd i can make it work but if they sing 2 songs off of different dvds then i have to change dvds and that takes to much time as to getting from harddrive thanks
you playing them on pc? as when i use a cut out section of a dvd, my subs come up (turn them on via software on pc) i used powerDVD. so mine do, yours should.
I want to permanently embed the subtitles to the video so they show all the time no going to the menus so all you have to do is pull the video from harddrive ready to play thanks again

Basically if the only intention is to get the DVDs to your HDD with subtitles and that's it, I'd convert them straight to DivX or XviD with permanent subtitles. We have guides on how to do this on our guides section, but you also might want to check Videohelp and Doom9. Anyway, download a software called AutoGK -- it'll do the job for you, pretty straightforward to use and quality is very good. Simply run that for all your discs and you'll end up having five .avi files on your HDD with permanent subs.
does the easyworship church software accept avi format files? but if it doesnt you can convert back to dvd with dvd flick, but i spose your need 14 separate parts cut up from the avi? so you can que up separately... to your own order.
I used autogeek and could get the subs to come up by changing transparency but cannot get it to save to the file and work thanks
