If im backing up anything onto a blank dvd, my writer always overwrites my chosen speed with software.(if i choose 1x with dvd decrypter, and use 4x speed media, it will write at 4x). and awhile back when i had a bad batch of datawrites dvd-r's(8x) my writer would burn at 8x, even tho my writers max is 4x speed!!
    Any ideas!?
