writing divx files greater then 700 mb on the 700 mb cd

    i hav donloaded few movies whose size exceeds the 700 mb cd, can i reduce the memory size of the movie through some means( by compressing it more)so that the entire movie can be fitted on a cd.

    If the size is something like 715,000 KB, you can fit that on a 700 MB CD.

    get nero and you can burn upto 720 megs onto a 700 megs cd

    Buy 90 min discs, and then overburn (as Nero doesn't seem to recognise 90 min discs). Note with overburning, very often it will cause an error or unsuccessful burn.

    Hi there jorgeous,
    Try vcdhelp.com. They have some great tutorials. It takes you through step by step on how to fit a full movie on cd. I was able to fit a 2hr 25min movie on one cd. There was no loss in quality that I noticed. Good luck. Takes a bit of getting used to but you'll get the hang of it.

    As venustail says go to http://www.vcdhelp.com they have nearly anything you need to know about converting file s ripping dvd's e.t.c

    to fit a lot of video on one cd with good quality try kvcd http://www.kvcd.net

    i've tried and its good but i'll stick to svcd. I dunno why i just think that mpeg-2 has that little bit of a better appearance!
