I burned a DVD+RW disk from a file on my computer, it plays on my computer and one of my DVD players but not the other one I am getting a "wrong" disk error when i put the disk in machine Dan
Does the dvd player that gives you that error support +RW media? You can check if it does with the make & model here. Might also just be the media is not compatible with the player. Or it doesn't like the file type or way it was burned. What kind of file is it and what did you use to burn it?
Ok what type of file is it? You can use the like above to see if that player accepts that type of file too.
This was a downloaded movie from the internet, it is a VLC mpeg , here are the results from Video help, how do you read this Dan http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers...changer=&dvdtv=&chipset=&orderby=Name&hits=50
It shows you what the dvd player supports. This player does support all of the dvd media formats. So the file you downloaded may need to be converted 1st before the one player will play it. Try DivXtoDVD. It's a free converter. Change the standard to whatever region you are in (PAL - Europe etc or NTSC - US etc). You can then burn the file with burnon. Is this the only file on this media that has given this dvd player a problem?
First of all, thank you Binkie for your input, i used Divx and it seem to work but there are no files in the final file ?, it didnt burn ?
Not a problem Dan_61 DivXtodvd uses CopytoDVD to burn. If you don't have that program no biggie the file will just be saved to your hard drive. You can then use your burning program of choice. By default DivX saves to a folder on your desktop. Check the path where it saved the file under 'destination folder'. Is anything there?
The copy of divx i have doesnt burn, it says to download burner below in the main screen but there is nothing there
Ok if you're using the same one I linked you to no biggie on it not burning. Have the box unchecked for 'burn with CopytoDVD'. The file will be saved to whatever you set under 'destination folder'. Once DivxtoDVD is done you can then burn that file w/ BurnOn, Nero or any other burning program. Here's a good free one - ImgBurn. Use the build mode to burn the folder from DivXtoDVD.
Hi Binkie IT WORKED !!!!!!! I used Divx and burned with BurnOn Thank you so much, i have trying to burn a certain music video forever Dan
