Hey fellow members! My family is in searching for buying a Nintendo Wii. I've read about the newer softmod available for the Wii. I've also read some reviews of a few modchips as well specifically the WiiKey 1 & 2 versions. I'm not gonna be into the softmodding myself but would buy one already done.

I have no real preference of whether to get a softmod or chipped console. I would need some real information of the benefits of buying one over the other. I like the WiiKey 1 & 2 reviews I've read but there are newer chips out. I'm not wanting to go overboard on price either. This can be a good working used console or a good price for a new one.

I'm USA based & would want a NTSC console. I would also want one with all the latest updates like firmware & working with the latest games, emulators,& homebrew. I would also want all accessories that come with a console plus maybe a GC controller & nunchuks. Maybe a SD card as well with emulators & homebrews already on it.

If anybody on these forums is well known for modding on the Wii then please feel free to respond or if anyone knows of someone that's dependable here on the forums then please respond. I have no set price range so please throw offers at me here in this thread or PM me. I just want a well-working system with all the latest updates to firmware & other things needed for updating. Our son is dying for a Nintendo Wii. Thanks!

I got some more info & I think I'd rather have a chipped Wii of some kind. There are many so I'd like to see some offers. The Flatmod seems interesting but I also like the WiiKey 1 & 2 reviews as well. I'd like to buy a console(used) possibly already chipped from members here on the forums. My preference would be a modder but will buy from regular members too as long as trustworthy. Thanks guys!

I have a brand new softmodded Wii available. I'd take $275 shipped for it. Original Wii sports game isn't included. I could install a Drivekey chip it in for $70 extra. It has the newest type drive that will only take a drive keys and those are a little pricier than other chips.
