    Hi guys,

Im not sure if thats the model, but its the model under the G51, and not one of the Z models.

    Anyway, heres my problem.

When I am listening to music or whatever, I get output from my 2 front speakers and my center. However, I do not get anything out of my rear speakers. This is quite annoying as I know they could sound better with these 2 speakers working.

When I test them in my sound manager however, they work.

So I ask, why does it do this?

You probably haven't enabled 5-speaker mode in the control panel for windows. Music is only stereo, so will never play through all speakers without an upscale utility. I'm not sure if Realtek offer this, I know Creative do.

Ok, what is this upscale utility?

    Perhaps a link?

And Im not entirely sure how to enable it, its probably different in Vista too.

Well, I use a Creative sound card, so it's called CMSS. It basically copies the audio from the front speakers to the rear. I don't know if Realtek have such an ability.

    Yeah, I got it.

There was an option in my panel thing called Speaker Fill. Ticked that, and now its all good.

Cheers for the help sam, you always provide good help.
