I have a question that somebody here might be able to help with. I purchased the X Files complete set (in one box) from a seller on Ebay. It was described as the actual US release, and in fact seems at first glance to be the same set for sale on Amazon and Best Buy. Each season is contained in a cardboard foldout, just like the Amazon pictures, but in my cases the discs are in the cases but also in plastic sleeves. The drawer that is at the bottom (which I guess should contain the booklet)of the Amazon picture is not there. Is this a new corrected version? I read that some were not happy with the drawer because it collapsed. I also read complaints about damaged discs. My question is: Does anybody here have any info on why my box looks different?
I would think that the first place you should be asking this question is from the dude, from whom you purchased the set! Do the discs play???????? Good friggin grief! I won't even delve into the question about your box. ROFLMAO!
Why did you reply to my questions? The entire post is a question about the box that you don't want to "delve into". Of course I ask the guy I bought the set from, but in my opinion he has proven to be dishonest so I do not trust him any longer. Yes, the discs play. Other than no drawer containing the booklet missing, plastic sleeves, and the entire case being a bit smaller than the retail version this case is the same as retail. It is not one of the many different looking bootlegs available. The good news for me is that the guy refunded my full payment.
That is exactly why I suggested you ask the guy who "gotcha". Post, if you really do get your money back.
Yep, money is back. I am not sure why it was so easy to get my money back, but it was. They guy who "got me" is playing dumb as to why the set isn't authentic. I wasn't really expecting him to suddenly decide to be honest.
