where to get a modchip depends on what part of the world your from? so we can all give you sites to look at, no you don't need a modchip to play backup games there are exploits but in my opinion it's better to chip there is peeps that know about that perhaps when they read this they will be able to help you on the expliots or better use the search on this forum there are other threads about it
Do NOT post links to sites that sell backups. There are all kinds of places to get chips, or even to send your xbox to and have them install the chip for you.
