Hi after trying to install the latest version of XBMC I have crashed the boot sequence of my HD.

It now freezes half way through loading EVOX. This is a real pain because I can't get any recovery disk or slayers auto installer to work. It crashes before booting the CDRW/DVD-R.

Here is what it looks like

It freezes on that orange screen.
I'm sure if I could get ftp access back I could fix the problem.

    Can anybody help me????

    Really desperate.

    Thanks in advance..

Guys thanks very much for the information I haven't come accross hotswapping in my quest for an answer but it all seems to make sense.

I take it becuase the executer 2 logo comes up it means the HD has been unlocked?

Do I wait untill I see that logo and then swap the cables?

As for the Queen video it was taken in a theme park in Cincinatti I'm the one at the far right sweating his bollocks off.

The really sad thing was we thought we were doing ok....
How wrong wrong wrong we were!
