I am tring to connect my modded xbox to my pc and was told to use the DHCP setting. the problem is that when i start up the Xbox in DHCP the i.p. address in the bottom corner is at 0.0.0.0 even tho in the settings it still has the correct i.p. address. The network settings also show that the current i.p. is 0.0.0.0. I have connected to the internet before to download skins but now even that won't work. I've been trying for quite awhile but can't make it work. any suggestions?
Make sure your router is set up to give out more than a few dhcp address'. You can only use dhcp if you have a router. If you are connecting directly to your lan on your computer, you need to use static ip and a crossover cable. If you are using a router you go modem>router>pc and xbox with regular cables
