There is a new emulator I read about off a reliable site I have used for a long time. It has always told what emulators are fake and which ones have viruses. There was a new post about an emulator called "Xeon." It is supposed to play only one game so far...Halo (NTSC). It says you have to extract the .xbe file from the ISO of the game and thats how to get it to work. For some reason it seems too good to be true but I wanna try anyway. HOW DO YOU MAKE AN ISO OF AN XBOX GAME!?!?!? I know how to make ISO's of regular games but when I tried to do it for an xbox game all there was was 14 mgs of vob files (DVD files) so I decided to see what the vob files were and found out that it was just like the xbox logo exploding so OBVIOUSLY I only got like the first layer of the disc. So where is an ISO maker that will copy the whole disc? HELP ME PLEASE!!! I dont have an xbox and I want this emulator to work really bad!!! Just for your info, an .xbe file is like the executable for xbox, just like .exe is for windows...you know? HELP!
It looks like what this tool does is make an xbox ISO when you have the files already on your computer. I dont know how to get the files off the xbox game. do you?
It looks like what this tool does is make an xbox ISO when you have the files already on your computer. I dont know how to get the files off the xbox game. do you? This is from reading about it I havent got to try it yet, so, hopefully it extracts the files off the cd and makes an ISO. That would be ideal and I would be very happy! But from reading it so far it looks like it just makes an ISO from files already on your computer. I repeat, HOW DO I GET THE FILES OFF THE XBOX GAME!!?!?!?! So, any other ideas?
I have a "back up" cd of halo, and when I put it in my computer, it says the drive is not accessible and the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. Is there a program that IS able to read it? Thanks, -Solid-
see I wish I knew! I know the discs are multilayered so you cant just read them. My friend is like a braniac and he is helping me research a way to copy xbox discs to the computer (make an iso). So I will post what I find out, that is if I find out. Did you try putting the game in your xbox? I dont have an xbox, I just borrowed the game and wanted to see if I could get this emulator called "xeon" to work
Well, it would be harder to copy it from the original cd to your computer, it would be protected. I have a "back up" that shouldn't be hard to put on my computer only if I can find out how to read the stupid thing. My whole point of putting it on the computer is to patch it so I can have lots of fun. They should come out with a gameshark, instead of action replay and stuff.
If I can't get it on my computer, I'll just have to put Halo on my xbox harddrive as a "back up" then ftp the patch onto it.
Here is a site you could ask questions.... http://www.xboxsaves.com/index.php?category=saves Once on the site, click Halo Hacks/Saves, then go to page four, then click the 13th one down with the description "Flamethrower/gravity gun on BG" the dude there didn't help me any but may be able to help you.
haha, I guess not, did you read what I posted there though? I think it is impossible to make your pc read the game
don't know if it is impossible! I found some really helpful information the other day on xbox discs. It has like tripled my little knowledge on xbox discs. I now know what Im looking for and what I have to do to make my computer work but I havent had any luck finding it. I know it is out there, just gotta find it. Here is the link, its got some good info (http://www.anetforums.com/posts.aspx?ThreadIndex=4013) The bests posts are Blackstar's and ThatGuy's.
Blackstar's and which guy's post? justs playin, yeah that's pretty neat, that the xbox reads backwards. I never would have found out with mine, it's OUT OF SYNC the damn producers didn't develope it right when it first came out. Something to do with a plastic thing that has to do with the dvdrom, lol, and the ones that are built nowadays are metal. So, I have a regular dvdrom attached to my xbox, and it doesn't read backwards but works fine. Anyways, I know not to be in a rush to get things. I'm guna try out that ISObuster. I've had it before, but never knew the purpose of it really.
