Xbox Error 21

Hey, guys.

I softmodded my xbox, and now when ever i try to go into the xbox ms dash it gives me error 21. i backed everything up before i modded. how can i fix this?

You can try an FTP and replace your dash files in C:\ with clean ones. You may have corrupted them!

Try booting the Xbox with a LIVE enabled game (MS Dash mode "Eject Button") and trying to connect to xbox live. DOn't have it connected to the net though! It may fix your dashboard!

 

Yea, I've tried updating it with "Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood" I found the updatedash.xbe file and I ran it. It said it updated it, but when I tried to get back into M$ dash it still gave me Error 21. If you boot it with the tray open it just takes you the the "Create an XBL Account" page, and you can't get into dashboard. I backed up my dash before I softmodded, and I tried running a few of those, but it still gave me error 21. If I was to swap the files, what ones would I need to change? You know of any place where I could download clean dashboard files?

My softmod tutorial has links to clean dash files! Probably wouldn't hurt to re-install the softmod correctly using my guide. Use my files too though!

I have the same problem. But I dont have a dashboard at all, and I deleted my cache.. any ideas? I MIGHT try to hotswap it...

 

Well hotswapping it usually take care of a lot of things. pretty much its rebuiling your hdd, but seriously what you got to do is read this guys tutorials (chunkhead) they are the Sh*t. Pretty much hotswap and use Ndure to put UnleashX on it. Heres another tutorial on that.

Or you can try a slayer cd. Going to have to find it for your self, I had a hard time looking for it, but pretty much what it dose is it you burn a disk and stick it into your Xbox. It boots your Xbox and you can rebuild your Hd. Should be able to use it to fix your Xbox.

You should probably back everything up. If you have a back up of your files, you can FTP it in with slayer I think. I'm not sure cause I haven't tried it, but you should be able to do it.

Slayers disk doesnt work. I made 5 cds of it, none work.

I dl'ed it. But turned out it was 2.6 init. But I deleted my cache.. does that have anything to do with it?
