ive burnt 3 games (project gotham 2, medal of honour frontline and hunter the reckoning redeemer) and ive patched them all with craxtion and then burnt them using nero 6 and then i try to play them and they all say the same thing, the disc you are using is dirty or damaged. i dont know what to do. ive even looked for updates for craxtion but there isnt any, what should i do?
did you make an iso with craxtion or just burn the files as data? If you just burned the files, make an xiso with craxtion.
ive done that but it still keeps doing it, r u sure that if i use -r, it might make a difference. because i really want these games to work. could it be the games them self, or can craxtion crack any game.
it is probably an issue with the disks that you aree using.. are they all the same brand?? if so just get a different brand and try on them..
mine runs hp dvd -rw.thompson drive.won't use +r kypermedia or -r kpermedia.does anyone know for sure what would work for this drive?i got a backup from someone to try in mine and it was a no label write once of some kind.it worked very well,it was halo and that helped to hook me on xbox.the guy that i borrowed it from did not remember what brand it was.
i know for sure mirror, data write bulkpak sumvision, qp, and any ritek -r will work in a thompson drive to be honest i've never had any problems with dvd-r and a thomspon drive or any drive for that matter what dvd burner have you got because i know some brands of media don't really work with all dvd writers (what i've read on websites when i've ordered media some give a list of compaitiable dvd writers) hope this has helped
i have two,a lite on,and a sony dru-510a.i backup dvd's regularly.i use + or _ r's of all kinds without problem.if the ritek will work i'll order some and try them.i should use the -r though for the thompson?i thought of replacing the drive in my xbox till i saw the ebay price of the samsung drive.
dtomcat - Xbox will only recognize -r discs... Think before you speak! Thats a total fabrication of the truth! Mine only read's -R's but others read +R's etc. Misleading facts are not very helpful to people, which is the aim of this forum..... to be helpful
Mercenary where in the world are you from? i use a pioneer A06 dvd writer and a samsung drive in my xbox so i'm pretty lucky can use whatever but a member of family has thompson and when i back up his owned games for him i only use -r and it runs anyone i chuck in it basically if they don't work i know it's my error (software setting ect...) hope this has helped
Hello, Can any one tell me how to backup my games using the Nero 6. I tried some of the steps from the forums but not working at all. I burn it by first creating the ISO in Nero 6.0 and then burn it to DVD-R because my xbox only reads DVD-Rs. One time it I burned it and I put it in my xbox and it come up with the screen this is a xbox game disc please put it in your xbox to play. Why is it doing this? Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance!!
thanks,Peachymo.i'm in the south, usa.i have a matrix modchip with evox m7 bios.a new dash don't remember which one.i use the 3.1 craxtion with the instructions from the site forums.i have one +r that i made that will go to the profile selection and then black screen, thats all.the other -r's will not run at all.no disk, unknown disk.i read that the samsung drive is better than thompson and i have a friend with one that i could get cheap.it was made in 2002.i need to find out if it can be modded like my other one.
Mercenary > well your bios and everything is fine i run all my new backed up games with the evoxm7 bios are you sure your backup work? try them on another xbox if they do work then yeah get the drive go to xbox-scene.com its got some stuff about modding drives to use with xbox does your originals work though? try that aswel and a movie and music just to check
i'm going to try the ritek disks.the originals work just fine.i should be getting another xbox soon.i haven't looked to see if a 2002 model can be done with a matrix.
i just thought could one of the reasons be that my hard drive is fat32 and that only supports files of upto 4GB. if my hard drive was ntfs is should work. i found that out on the net.
