Ok I finally got my chip to program and have successfully installed the chip. The backup CD-R works but when I go to the settings on the Xbox some of information is different. 1. Type - It's blank, I have no values 2. IP is 0.0.0.0 3. Ethernet Mac is 00:50:F2:40:A3:9F Everything else seems to match Seamonkey;s information. I am using a belikin PCI network card. Thanks for any assistance
If its evox, you set it up manually in the system settings menu.IP=192.168.0.2 Gateway=192.168.0.1.Those are just some examples.
I am only using a PC with a network card and crossover cable. Where is says TYPE : it is blank. Below where it says IP it is also blank. I can't alter these settings with the Xbox control pad. Do I need a hub or do you make changes in the PC network connection. I have both XP and Me on two different computers.
I know this may not be much help but the same thing happened to me the very first time i modded a box.. i had to go back and re-install the dashboard and i used slayers and it worked the second time.. dunno why though
you may also wanna go down through the listings and make sure that static IP is turned on or yes or whatever the option is..
I tried the Static IP and the Xbox still did not detect what type of connection I had or give me an IP address. It's still 0.0.0.0 I will look for this Slayer's fix and make a new dashboard. Thanks for the reply
It sound like something wrong with the actual disk.Because all the EvoX versions I have on disk all let me change the IP.Im also using the same setup(NIC and crossover cable). The Slayers auto installer is a great setup disk.If you cant find it,hit me with a PM and i'll give ya a clue
I was able to find the slayer's fix. It was a tough search and only found it at one site in the .uk I paid a computer store $5 to download it to a blank CD-R using a high-speed connection. I am able to change IP setting with Evox but not the IP address below where it says TYPE ( of connection). Will try again over the weekend once I get my Box back from a friend playing DOA Volleyball
