Ok so... Ive checked numerous tutorials to see what i've done wrong, and my conclusion is:

    I've done nothing wrong!

I can't seem to figure out why my Xbox won't connect to my computer!

Firstly I'll give a list of my connection details (Comp and Xbox)

    Computer:
    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
    Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Ralink Wireless LAN Card V2
    Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-08-A1-94-D8-7F
    Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
    Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.5
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.254
    DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.254
    DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.254
    Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : 08 May 2007 18:15:09
    Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : 11 May 2007 18:15:09

    Xbox:

    Network
    Type: Static
    IP: 192.168.1.1
    Subnetmask: 255.255.255.0
    DefaultGateway: 192.168.1.5
    DNS: 192.168.1.254
    DNS: 192.168.1.254
    Setup Delay: 0

    FTP
    Enabled: Yes
    Password: xbox

Now... when connected up, my computer displays this message (images below)

When I try to connect to my Xbox via CuteFTP I receive this message:

    STATUS:> Getting listing ""...
    STATUS:> Connecting to FTP server 192.168.1.1:21 (ip = 192.168.1.1)...
STATUS:> Socket connected. Waiting for welcome message...
ERROR:> Can't read from control socket. Socket error = #10054.

When I try to connect my xbox via FlashFXP I receive this message:

    [R] Connecting to 192.168.1.1 -> IP=192.168.1.1 PORT=21
    [R] Connected to 192.168.1.1
    [R] Connection failed (Connection lost)

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Many thanks

    Damien

    Sorted

    For those with same problem:

What I did was directly connected my Xbox to my router, and used a wireless network card on my computer. From there everything worked fine, with the settings mentioned above

Right now I'm backing-up my Xbox hard drive in case of problems.

But it's safe to say this topic is done, any mods about to lock?
