I want to FTP my Xbox but I lost my old Crossover cable. And I only have 1 nic card in my computer.

I read I can use two normal eathernet cables and a switch to FTP to my xbox. Is this true?

    Yup. That should work fine.

I myself have my Xbox connected to the router that runs my home network, so I can access the Internet and our computer's shared folders using XBMC.

Yeah I just figured it out. All I had to do was have the PC and the Xbox plugged into the switch and bam it worked.

But there is one problem, while I am networking with my Xbox I can't use the internet. The reason being is I use the same network thingy for my Xbox as I do to connect to the net. Is there a way I can keep both the Xbox and Internet connection active at the same time?

either get a wireless card and a wireless router an duse internet with the wireless or get a hub or router and plug ur pc and xbox into it then it to your modem, thats what i do, i used to have a crossover from m yxbox to my pc and my wireless card was connected for internet.

Just get a router and you'll be set.

I love how people say that ya know? Hey! Just get a router, no big deal. No I can't afford a router right now.

Well, then your other option is to install another NIC in your computer and keep one connected to the Xbox while the other connects to the Internet.

Or, just deal with having to swap connections everytime you need to do something with your Xbox.
