I read on another website that i can store games in HDD and load it off from there . Is that true ? Just like ps2 ?
It's true, but it's not quite like the PS2. Using a hard modded or soft modded Xbox, you can load games and applications off the hard drive. However, much like the PS2, you'll want to upgrade the hard drive. Which is a bit more difficult than on the PS2.
i heard there's other operating systems for xbox like unleashX or sth. So i need them to load games from HDD ? And how do i copy my back up games onto my HDD ?
UnleashX is a hacked dashboard based on the original MS Dashboard. I have no idea what sth is... Like I said before, you have to have a modified Xbox. A hacked dashboard is then used to launch homebrew and games from the hard drive, as well as many other tasks. To back-up games to the hard drive, you should use dvd2xbox. If you want to soft mod your Xbox, read this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/311710 If you want to install a chip, then you should get a Xecuter, Xenium, or Duo chip.
-Venom5880 So true.... It's much better than the PS2. I now shudder at the PS2 loaders in comparison. That thing almost doesn't get used now.
I agree, not a fan of ps2, havnt touched mine in for ever, i use my xbox, soft modded with unleashx+ndure, i find it really simple to softmod and upgrade the hd in the xbox, pretty simple to use
You can probably go onto #xbins, and look up dvd2xbox. This will copy your game to the xbox HDD, and then you can just boot games right from your HDD.
