I want to know if its possible to buy a HDD from your local Best Buy for like 40 bucks no matter the size.. give it a M$ Dashboard and get it to work with a XBOX. assuming you do everything right. If its not possible then if i were to put a Mon in it..only for the Harddrive and then get it fixed onto my Xbox is it still possible to go on live with out getting banned even if you dont Cheat. My problem is that my xbox needs a Hotswap for its stock HDD..but i have 100 dollars, but i want a easy quick stay at home way to fix it. One that doesnt involve opening my computer. Although all that that i mentioned can be dun by a freind thats why i want to know if its possible.
i believe you will get banned on live with an upgraded HD no matter what...but i dunno becuz i havent tried myself.....to put the ms dash on the new HD you will need the EEPROM from your stock harddrive so that might be a problem if you havent backed that up to the computer.....
