My sons xbox hdd has packed up, and i need to replace it, please can anyone tell me how to, the machine is original..no mods at all, can i buy a new hdd from pc world and then using my pc reload the required xbox software? thanks, Ian.
You should call the customer support line, and ask about software unless you know what you're doing. I wouldnt prefer to write up a tutorial... Another option would be to get him A couple memory cards that go into the conroller and maybe have 4 or 5 of those so you dont need to worry about HDD switching and keeping the info from the other HDD, as well as potential damage to the xbox itself during switching, etc.
