xbox hdd to xbox hdd

I have an extra xbox hdd sitting at my house and i have an xbox with a failing hdd.. I would like to put the good xbox hdd into the xbox system. How do i do this.. is this possible without modding it.. I have a seperate console that IS modded.. Can i use the modded console to do some of the things and then have the hdd work in the non modded console? Thanks

 

Yes, it is going to be a lot of works.
First, you need the eeprom on the broken hdd.

 

thanks.. i actually thought of a better idea.. i think what i am gonna do is swap the entire mobo and hdd that the working hdd came from them use the other mobo and put my chip on it and use that with my 320gb drive.. that should work right?
