I tried to softmod my xbox and it was succesful but during it i deleted linux installer off of my harddrive. When i reboot my xbox an error message comes up that says service required....call customer service. I can put a game in but when i try to connect to xbox live it says i need an update. So i say update now...but it goes to a blank screen and does nothing..... - please help!
Oh my... Well, that soft mod save was you ticket to fixing it, but looks like you tore it up... If you want to fix it, you'll have to hot swap. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/332766
The only way you can fix it is to hot swap and reinstall the MS dashboard. You don't have to soft mod it as part of a hot swap...
