    Well My xbox is modded with a chip, has a 30 gig hard drive in it.. and the dash that loads frist i have it set to load xbmc(xbox media center) and the normal xbox dash i took out. and the drive is unlocked.. because ya with a chip dosent matter if the drive is locked.. still plays everything fine.. just no xbox live.. witch is my whole point of this thread. see my chip can be switched on and off by bootin with the eject button(off) and power button (on).. what i wanna do is whip the hard drive again reload normal xbox dash.. and on my E partion have my moded side to the xbox..and lock the drive back using the chip and slayer disk.. so was just wonderin .. would that would.. or would mircosoft still notice the hard drive is not retail with the chip off?

    I'm guessing that you played Xbox Live using your old hard drive, correct?

    There's a good chance you'll be banned since the hard drive serial numbers won't match when you go online with the 30 gig hard drive. Look up the marriage theory for more info on that if you like.

    If you want to go ahead and try it anyway, do this.

    1. Backup everything important on your hard drive. Game saves, application settings, etc.
    2. Select option 3 on Slayer's Autoinstaller 2.6 and select the upgraded hard drive option. This will format your hard drive and install the MS dash and such.
    3. Select 4 -> 4b -> 4b1 to lock it.
    4. Select 4 -> 4a -> 4a1 to install everything to F for a stealth install of all your apps and dashboards.
