ok, i softmodded my box(splintercell) and it worked fine for a week. after a week the softmod (Evox) blue page popped up(the one where you can backup etc.)so i backed up my m$ dash again and reinstalled everything and got an error dont remember which one) so my friend unlocked the harddrive wiped it re-created it and locked it again. my main question is...why wont it work? i keep getting error 5 and error 6 when we unlock it and unlock it....any ideas anyone?
error 5 means you are running an unlocked harddrive, error 6 means you locked the harddrive with the wrong eeprom. apparantly you keep locking your harddrive with the wrong eeprom.bin key. use liveinfo program to verify the information (compare serial nummer that the program generates and the one on the bottom sticker of your xbox to find out if you are using the correct eeprom). don't use an eeprom.bin of another xbox, that won't work (==> gives error 6) ....so lock the drive with the correct eeprom and you should be good to go.
