Ok, I'm pretty clueless about XBMC but i downloaded it and tried to put it on my xbox and it didn't work, but later I found out it was only source files/code(whichever it is)and I read in a previous thread that i need an edited xboxmediacenter.xml file and they also said you need to override that file. I'm not quite sure what they are talking about, and I don't have the capability to edit the file myself because I am in fact a newbie but any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks, Kyle.

Download one of the complete versions.. It's far to complicated to make one from source and write the xml file for it..have a look around the torrents, there was a new version released last week

    hi...
i am in serious depression now...
i think i killed my xbox...
    -sobs-
i put on the xbmc.xml file over my evox.ini file and it came up as a black screen saying that i was missing a file and so i went on doing everything that the install manual said...but it didn't work...
so i put back on the evox.ini file over the xbmc.xml file and now when i turn on my xbox it doesn;t leave the xbox microsoft screen to the dash so i can't ftp...
    so i am desperate...
    i NEED HELP!!!!!

Ouch...most softmods only work properly with the evox or unleash dash..try running the disk you did the softmod from and loading the exploits again
