When I softmodded my xbox it worked fine for 3 days or so. Then when I tried to load Fable it gave me an Xbox Needs Service screen. I checked if it ran media and it didn't. Then today i decided to take apart my xbox and it all went well. I took out the dvd tray and the hard drive. When I took off the hard drive I bumped the heatsink. I picked it up and it wasn't even attached. Could that have been the reason that my didn't run games? Was the processor too hot?
I don't remember anymore I think it was 16. It probally could've been fixed with a mod chip but II have another modded box.
Well the xbox that i was having trouble with is in pieces. I have the motherboard and everyhing on that along with the hard drive dvd tray and the power thing. My friend has everything else. I wasn't really interested in getting it to work again i was just curious about what was wrong with it. Thanks for your help though.
I think you had the error 16. If so, ms dash messed up. Xbox can't set the clock. And it won't play game either.
