So i've had my modded xbox for awhile now, Xecuter Solderless Mod, 160gb HD, it had been awhile since i really used it.

Anyway, it was working fine until i decided to update my XBMC to version 2.0 and set it as the default dashboard (using the tutorial from here; http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index.php?title=Install_XBMC

First, i upgraded the XBMC, then I followed the tutorial (at the same site) for making XBMC my default dashboard (Option 1 - as its referred to).

Well, now when I boot my XBox, it shows Xecuter Live Config Loading, then goes to the XBox Intro Screen (it shows Xecuter Rox My Box below), then it does nothing, just hangs.

Any ideas how I can get this thing working again? I dont mind loosing the data on the drive (its all backed up games that I own), I just want to get it working again.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, and if there is anything else you need, feel free to ask.

Yep, i used the default.xbe they provided, renamed the existing evoxdash.xbe to exoxdashBACKUP.xbe, and then renamed the default in its place. I also created that config file referencing the location of XBMC, F:\Apps\XBMC\default.xbe

Make an Evox boot CD or download slayers, boot with that and ftp in to your xbox.
Another option is to create a UnleashX boot CD, you have a built-in file manager which will allow you to check your config or at least change it back to how it was before you started and work from there.

Well, if your xbox can read games and if you dont mind loosing your data on your xbox, then you must download the "SLAYERS EVOX AUTO INSTALLER 2.6" and just rebuild your full xbox hard drive and install EVOX. In slayers 2.6 you will get alot of hombrew applications inculding the XBMP and the XBMC etc..............

Well o71g will also work. But since you have messed up alot of things, you'd better rebuild your xbox hard drive.

    Hey o71g no hard feelings..................

Well o71g's idea will also work. But since you have messed up alot of things in your xbox hard drive, you'd better rebuild your xbox hard drive. After that you can FTP whatever data you want (savegames, etc. etc.)
