hey all. just brought a old xbox never been mod'd but want to do it. only brought it for xbmc. well i don't have any games so can't do it with 007 game save way.wanted to use slayer but can't get it to work as it not been mod'd. is there any other way of doing this?
i've had a look. i just can't mod my xbox unless i chip it or the game save soft mod way. is there any other way of doing the mod to get xbmc on my xbox?all new to me this. thanx for any help cheers

thanx for your time. still can't seem to find away of modin it with out the game save way or chiping it. only brought it today. should have brought one already mod'd aaarrrgggggg. cheers for your help anyhow. i'll have to spend some cash on splinter cell and ation replay
No problem; they can be found real cheap at eBay or game shops even. I don't know everything about softmodding, ie i haven't used Slayers etc etc, but as far as i know, the very least you need for any form of softmodding is an action replay and one of the usual 3 or 4 game discs; then you have a variety of ways of softmodding, my preference was as detailed in that link.
right i can get hold of the game i need but the action replay is a pain in the ass. is there anyway of doing the soft mod without the use of action replay. i've looked on ebay and i don't want to pay out any more cash than i have already. maybe i'm just tight. cheers
hey. me again. I've made my usb port for x box and it formats it fine. just can't get it to work right now. looked on the net at some guides but still i must be doing something wrong.any help would be great. sorry for the trouble
Cool, i'm just putting some UnleashX skins on my main xbox and about to change the main dash from XBMC to UnleashX on the xbox that i'm taking on my hols ..i should really put a new, bigger hard drive in that xbox as the DVD drive plays up. ..keep us posted...

you can ftp it over to the xbox; not something i've managed to do (i tried to ftp over one of the newer T3CH builds, didn't get it to work), but it can indeed be done.
only got the xbox on sat and in less than a week i've got my head around some of the cool stuff. thanx for all the help.. i.ve got xbmc no probs. all working spot on now.. but.. but.. where's the best place for old school roms (snes mame ) ect.. and how to install so on. I'm getting there slow but it''''''''s one hell of a ride.. cheers otnarg
