I had my friends console chipped about 6 months back. Everything was working well until he rang me saying it would not boot up properly all the time. By the time I could have a look at it (2 weeks later) it wouldn't boot for up at all. It worked fine booting to MS dash but if I booted in chip mode it would boot on and off a couple of times and then flash red and green. It has a 200gig hard drive installed which was nearly full of games, not sure what type of modchip except it was using the evox M7 modified bios.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I pulled the console apart today but could not work out the problem. The dvd-rom works fine!

Check all the solder connections on the chip, namely the D0 connection.

Not sure! All I know is it has two solder points. Any way of telling what chip it is by markings?
