Is there any solution to cut off broken dvd in xbox without error. I have broken dvd in my xbox. How to unmount dvd without errors on first screen. I now that one of solution is buying newone, but this option it too expensive becouse i all games have on hdd and i use Lan connetion.
a dvd drive must be present i believe, or else you will get an error 12 (i believe). but the drive doesn't have to work, my drive is complete burned up (the laser at least). just leave it in as you will only be using the hard drive and lan. as long as your xbox recognizes the electronics of your dvd drive your fine. or get around buying a defective dvd drive for its electronics (or just buy another second hand one for about 20 dollar 15 euro, they are so cheap. it is almost not worth fiddling on these xboxes anymore, a replacement is most of the times much cheaper then trying to repair).
