Well, here's the thing. My xbox has been heating up to about 50 degrees celcius, i think thats like 110 degrees fahrenheit, and im pretty sure that this isnt normal cause its only been doing this only in the last little while (week or so)
my fan speed is on highest : 5x , but for some reason it doesnt stay on 5x, once i change it in my settings and save, then it works on 5x for like 20 min or so. then it goes back down to like 2x speed or so. just wondering if this is normal or not (im using unleashX loader), or could it be because ive just been playing it too long (i play around 4-5 hours a day) or some other possible problem. if you need any other info, just ask.

oh and out of curiousity, what should be the average temp on an xbox (approximate range)

    tnx in advance =P

alrite thanks for the info. was just getting worried, only had it for 2 months or so, and it hadnt went over like 40 degrees, and recently it started heating up a lot, so i started to get concerned, but tnx. as long as it doesnt go over 125 fahrenheit, i guess itll be ok.

Your temp is fine, but if it bothers you, you can do the 12v fan mod. Go to llama.com they have the attachment there. It will bring you down a few degrees. Also, you may want to try dusting the box with some canned air. this might help. Good luck.

If it is modded you could install XBMC and in the settings you can ajust the fan speed. or cut a blow hole and install another fan....
