I'm not sure if this is the right area to post this but I need some serious help! I just recently purchased a modded xbox. Well the person I bought it from had a parental lock on it that he didn't know about. So I emailed him and he said he would send me a new one. Well, its been about a month so I think I've got screwed. So I decide to try to do something about it. So I went into the C drive and went into the MS dashboard file and deleted the parental lock file thinking that that would delete it. Well I still couldn't play teen or mature rated games so I decide to look up if there is some way you can take off the password. Sure enough, there is a password (which works on all xboxes) that will enable you to take off or change the parental settings and passwords. So I try it. It works and takes me to the settings. The problem is now that since I deleted the parental lock file, it will just take me to a blank screen everytime I try to change the password or what rating I want. If anyone knows any solutions to this problem or if I need to delete more files, please respond. Your help is needed!

I found a solution. You must download slayers auto installer disc. Get it from bittorrent or anywhere else you can find it. It wipes out your hard drive so make sure you back everything up. It then gives you avalaunch and a new microsoft dashboard. This then allowed me to change the settings and then change the parental lock which I needed to change.
