Xbox playing after switching ON

Hi
Gents, to be honest m zero to all this conversations about modifying xbox business. pls if anyone cud advise or help me in details. i hv xbox n modified it to EVOX chip. intilly it was not operating but when asked from the guy he said u hv to press "On" button for 3 secds then it shud read EVOX, my only prob is when ever i put copied CD my box doesnt not open in fisrt attemp i hv to do it for hours n hours to operate it...but sometime it reads n sometiem it doesnt. pls explain me in detail m i using right ways:
1. Is my cd copying is wrong, some CDs work some not.
2. Did guys modified my box screwed it..
3. Orginal cds work perfect.
4. why is sometime my eject button glow "red & green" light
i wud be obliged to the person who cud help me in solveing this headache, else breaking my head n crashing my xboz into peices.
