So i successfully installed the chip, and Cromwell Flashbios showed up. I flashed it with X2_4983.67. It installed correctly and shuts off, powered back on. Nothing shows up on the screen. It just do it on/off 3 times. I did some research and came to find out that the Latest version of Xbox 1.6 doesn't support the X2_4983.67 bios. Fortunately, I have another chip that was already flashed with X2_5033 and it's working on a version 1.1 Xbox. I use the chip with X2_5033 with the version 1.6, but then again, it still doesn't boot. What did I miss in this process? Any help is tremendously appreciated. -dreamzboy-
How did you flash the X2_5033 bios? By FTP or CD. If you did by CD, i would try to FTP into your xbox. You can also try this bios: X2_5035. Or Evox M8. I reccomend the M8 bios, because i have a 1.6, and it works fine. When you boot your bios, where does it take you to. Like the original MS dash, or once you boot the bios, your xbox shuts off? For whichever dashboard you have, name it a certain name like evoxdash.xbe, or default.xbe, or something like that because if your bios is set to load xboxdash.xbe, when your hacked dashboard is evoxdash.xbe, your hacked dashboard wont load. To make sure your bios is loading the correct bios, download Evtool. If you need more help post back.
I'm pretty sure that the bios you used is for 1.5 or less. Take ravens1 suggestion and use evoxM8. I'm pretty sure for the 1.6 or higher you need to use M8plus_16 thou.
You're both right! Thank you so much. I had to buy a programmer and start out fresh again. I flashed it with X2_5033_v16_plus with bank 1 and Evox M8 on second bank, everything works flawless now. I appreciate ur help once again.
