[bold]I have a modded xbox with a Xecuter 2.3 modchip and 120gb hdd. I am going to mod a new XBOX. I am going to put a Xecuter 2.3 Lite modchip with a 160gb hdd. I need to know if the 160gb hdd is to big to be on one drive on the xbox? I have heard that half the memory on a hard drive over 137gb goes on F: and the other on G:, is this true or can I get all the memory on the F: Drive?[/bold] I appriciate any help!
just check the txt/nfo files that come within the bios files for that m8...covered in depth in the new X2 4980 bios.
I assumed that because I am not using an xecuter2 (or the same bios) that it would be different. Thanks though.
well, to be honest, I'm pretty new to all of this stuff and I'm just trying to learn as much as possible while I'm waiting on my chip and hdd. So I really don't know which bios I'm going to use (or NEED to use). I bought a chameleon and I'm putting it in a v1.0 box. And don't take this as a "help the newb" plea either. Unless you really want to, I'm content with researching
well depends on the size of the hdd really. if its under 137 gig use the X2 4980.06 and if its bigger use the other one :S cant remember!
i THINK but dont quote me on it, your limited to 137 gig, but im not 100% sure as ive never used the M7.....ne1 else? _X_X_X_X_X_[small]For XBox apps and news...go to:- http://www.g4merzo1d.co.uk.tt PC Specs: AMD XP2600+ 80GB HDD 512MB RAM ASUS CD-RW 2x NIC's 600K Cable XBOX Specs: LPC Cheapmod w/ ON/OFF SWITCH ASUS DVD-ROM 120GB WESTERN DIGITAL HDD XBOX LIVE - G4MERZO1D[/small]
There is no limit on M7. Im using a 160 gig on m7. it doesnt support the big f drive if thats what your looking for. It goes to g drive after 137.
The latest Xecuter BIOS has 2 versions. a .06 and a .67. The .06 puts all the free space on the F drive... even if it is past the 137GB barrier. The other one splits it after that barrier.
