I was just curious to know if anyone has tried to use a ps2 dvd drive in te xbox and if it would work.
no point.. they are completely different devices.. $ony make their own, the xbox uses basically an old style dvd-rom similar to one in a pc from 8 years ago. IF you had opened either device up.. you would have seen that it's a physical impossibility to swap them.
