Its got 2x 512k size do i need to flask just 512k or the whole 1024k to make the x2_4977 bios to work right?
I'm puzzled by this too -- also, could someone explain the function of the Protect/Unprotect switch on this thing? I am a bit worried because when I switch my mod chip to "Disable", I still boot up to the "FlashBios (Cromwell)" screen. Does this mean that I overwrote my Xbox bios?

you need to first find the bios build 4977....then you need to get x2bm, which is the xecuter 2 bios manager....when, if ever, that link is actually working again, it will show you what to do if you have both of those things...if you have a thompson drive and no dvd burner, the bios update will work fine....its the evox thats gonna screw you up...
when i use x2cable i get this error Manufacturer Code: 00h Device Code: 00h Security Bit: 11111111 any idea what this is?
