does anyone have this chip? i just bought it but i just want to make sure i know everything before i start. is there anything i need to do after sodlering/installing the chip after im done? cant i just close up the xbox and run my bruned games? or wut? whats all this stuff i hear about bios flashing before u install, and i gotta download a bios from the internet and install it on my xbox? plz help noob here! if you are willing to help plz email me at den0_0nis@hotmail.com or just simply reply. i would prefer hotmail. thanks to all future helpers
flash the modchip go to team xecuter's web site and they will show you how. http flashing seems to be the easiest way all you do is connect your xbox AND computer to the internet. once conected select enable network flashing and it should give you a tcp/ip eg. 192.168.1.105. type that into the search bar and it will take you to a different screen. do this first get a 256k BIOS; i used xecuter2 4981 bios and download flashbios 3.03/3.01 prepare you bios as shown here http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=351619 if your new at this you should follow exactly like it says, at the end you should have one 1024k.bin file get a 256k bios and download flashbios 3.03 on that different screen above browse for your bios file on your computer and select flash modchip. DO RESEARCH IF YOU SCREW UP THE FLASH AND YOUR XBOX STARTS GOIN ON AND OFF THEN YOU ARE SCREWED AND WILL NEED TO BUY A PROGRAMER OR IF A FRIEND HAS AN XBOX YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO LEECH OF HIS MODCHIP DONT SCREW UP THE FLASH IT THE POWER GOES OUT OR GOD UNPLUGS YOUR POWER CORD THE YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK.
one more thing make sure that the bios is compatible WITH your modchip AND xbox version. go to www.xbox-scene.com for more information
