Right Installed Xecuter 2.6, saw the cromwell bios, flashed the chip with 512k M8_plus16, booted backups no prob, but crashed when trying to run ANYTHING off the HDD. Read thru forums and learned 1.6 box's only like 1mb bios on this chip, so resized, reflashed, and JOY, it all works fine now. My question.... I wanted to leave the cromwell bios on bank 1 for easier flashing in the future, how on earth do u flash bank 2 using a CD? I thought I was crafty, when the cromwell had loaded, I flicked the switch to bank 2 but it still over wrote the cromwell (D,Oh!). Anyway I have this life saver disc which enables u to reflash with no probs. If anyone knows how I can get the cromwell back on bank 1 and still put M8_plus16 on bank 2 please share, better yet, how would u flash bank 2 using cromwell on bank 1 to boot off? Thanks in advance
it is very simple...get biosmanager from xecuter's site...put flashbios on banks 1 and 2 and put m8 on banks 3 and 4...save your new 1mb bios...then just flash the chip. flashbios will be put on bank1 and m8 will be on bank2
