I just got my Xecuter2.3 Pro Mod chip in the mail today. I installed it in the xbox and it booted up in to the Linux BIOS. I loaded the M7 bios from the boot cd that I created. It flashed the BIOS and turned off the xbox as it was supposed to. However, now I cant get it to read any of the CDs that I created including the boot cd. So I am thinking that something went wrong during the flash process as it still says Microsoft under the green X. 1) Is there a way to get back to the linux bios so I can reflash the chip? 2) Does anyone have the external programer in the Houston, Tx area that I can use/borrow/buy from them? I have a laptop so I can travel. Thanks Greg
I know this is not exactly what you asked for friend but considering that you have the 2.3 chip you do realize that there are two blocks you can put two different bios in correct? If so please ignore this If not. You can switch to the second bank and try to get a bios to install in it. One thing to make sure of before installing is that you have resized the bios to 512k with XBtool or another similar program. It will not work if you did not. I know the M7 is supposed to work great but I would personally suggest the 4979.06 bios first. Have been using it myself and has worked perfect so far. Hope this helps friend.
