    Hi,

I was wondering how you guys managed to get a bios to load on the chip, either by cd-rw or by using 1 of the external programmers?

I'm trying the cd-rw method using x2 4977 & x2 4978.3, but all it comes up with is "unable to find bios update - Halting!"

Can any1 help as I've tried everything from burning methods using dummy files to checking dip switches etc...

    Cheers

    B.

I used xbox bios manger and bulit the 4977 bios up 4 time to make it one meg. I have done 3 chips this way and have not had a problem. On my first chip I flashed it incorrectly and had to buy the programmer for another $15 to fix my screw up. Now I just use 4977.
