i downloaded the xenium os 2.3.0 and ftp'd the recovery.bin file to the e drive in my xbox then rebooted,when it came back on i hit recovery. but the light just blinks orange a bunch of times and then goes to solid red and stayes there. no message comes up or anything. what should i do to succesfuly upgrade the xenium os?
you have to leave flashfxp open with the recovery.bin file in E then hit the power button on the Xbox, make sure you don't reboot because the drive letters must be showing in flashfxp for the upgrade to work!! After you turn the Xbox back start the recovery process and hopefully you won't see the work "Halt" on the left hand side of the screen?? Usually that means that something is wrong with the .bin file. If the upgrade goes well then the Xbox should turn off on it's own after the OS update.........Later
i have figured it out now. i just needed to unlock the Harddrive. the update went fine and i did not have flash fxp open or the xbox even connected with the crossover cable and i did reboot it after transfering the recovery.bin via ftp then hit recovery. everything went fine i olny have a couple more questions. Is Xenium OS 2.3.0 the latest OS for the Xenium ice And does anyone know of a good compleate manual for the latest xenium OS Thanks
